• The pets for adoption at the St. Martin Parish Animal Control Facility have very little time left. A list is available at: http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/LA168.html. Sometimes one week is all the time they have to be adopted or rescued before they are euthanized. Some of them are very lucky to be taken by rescue groups. However this costs money (transport, heartworm treatment, deworming, vaccinations, neutering, food, etc...)
  Soooo... what can YOU do? You can donate and the money will be earmarked for these pets. Once a pet is "pulled" from the pound by a rescue group, donations can be transferred to the rescue group(s), making it possible for the same groups to maybe save another one!
  You may want to donate for a specific pet and we will transfer this money for the pet you specified, however if for some reason, the money can not be applied towards this specific pet's care, we will put it to good use for another one of the St. Martin Animal Control Facility's pet. Look at the pictures below... they all deserve a second chance!

		Here are some group efforts to transport multiple pets to out of state rescue groups - May 2007: Midwest Animal Rescue Services (MARS) a rescue group from Minneapolis, MN saves 16 dogs. - June 2007: a rescue group from PA takes 17 dogs and 2 cats.
